A Long-Winded Introductory Post

Hello there. My name is Wilson. I was born in 2026 at the age of 38.

I’m a scatterbrained, middle-management type living in the UK. In my spare time, I hang out at the cinema, lift weights, snooze a lot, enjoy walks and coffee dates with my partner, and frequently entertain delusions of grandeur.

Welcome to my little web journal. Starting a traditional blog, with words and stuff, in the age of brainrot seems old-timey at best. And yet, despite my weariness with the Internet as a whole, I feel compelled to carve out a space on here to express myself.

Somewhere along the way, though, I lost the confidence to write on a personal level. Every sentence that tumbles from my fingertips reads back to me in a lame, mocking voice. But I get these moments of clarity when I want to fight through the negative thoughts. If I can push past the self-consciousness and the full-body cringe, I might actually enjoy writing again. Or, at the very least, I can fill the Atmosphere with glorified lorem ipsum.

I don’t have many insights to offer, but I do want to share the things I’m interested in and the projects I’m working on (and quickly abandoning). Sometimes that will take the form of longer pieces; more often, it’ll be shorter, messier micro-posts. The main goal is to resist the urge to delete everything five minutes after hitting publish.

I suppose it helps that hardly anybody will read this blog.

So, given all that, the fact you’re even here is either a miracle or trespassing. Please stick around anyway and follow me on this journey of self-discovery as I try to express myself well and write often.

"Express myself well and write often"... "Journey of self-discovery"?! Ugh. Fucking lame. Where's the delete button?
